Organic vine tomatoes cost CHF 8.89/kg (USD 10.97) in traditional retail outlets in June 2025. Since 2021, June prices for this important product in the tomato range have always been below the CHF 8.50/kg (USD 10.49) mark. In 2024, organic vine tomatoes reached a June low of CHF 7.12/kg (USD 8.79). This means that the comparison with the same month last year shows a particularly high price increase of around 25 percent.
Domestic organic strawberries at low price levels
In June 2025, the retail price of organic strawberries from Switzerland was 17.17 CHF/kg (USD 21.20, excluding discounters). This price is slightly lower than in the previous year (-2%). Compared with the previous years 2015–2024, it was the second-lowest June price. Only in 2015, the organic price of domestic strawberries was lower (CHF 16.67/kg, USD 20.58).
