Australia: Dates announced for XI International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops

The eleventh annual International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops has been announced for the 18th-23rd of January, 2026. The event will take place at the Tatura SmartFarm in Victoria, Australia.

The event will include a session on 'Water management under protected cultivation and hydroponics" to explore cutting-edge irrigation strategies, Al-driven systems, variable-rate irrigation, remote sensing technologies, and Al-driven water management techniques—all essential for protected cropping in a changing climate.

The event will feature keynote speakers, including experts in arid-zone water use, remote sensing, fruit tree physiology, AI, and precision irrigation.

There will be a six-clay program that features plenary and technical sessions, oral and poster presentations, workshops, plus technical and cultural tours tailored to irrigation technology and horticultural production.

Optional pre-symposium tour: join a 3-day tour (16-18 Jan) through Victoria's key horticultural regions, including orchard visits, irrigation system insights. and cultural stops—ideal for contextualizing protected cropping learning.

Early Bird Registration closes 31 August 2025. Regular registration will run from September 1 to December 15.
