Turkmen scientists develop high-efficiency liquid fertiliser for greenhouses

The Institute of Chemistry at the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan has finalised the development of a universal liquid fertiliser, KAS-28, -30 and -32, designed for greenhouse operations. The formula combines potassium, nitrogen, ammonium nitrate, and other essential components to promote plant growth.

According to state media, the product has already drawn interest from domestic vegetable growers and potential buyers in neighbouring countries. Production is expected to be organised at the institute's facilities, with laboratory-based quality control.

Applied through drip-irrigation systems, the fertiliser delivers water and nutrients directly to plant roots, supplying vitamins, minerals, micronutrients, and protective agents against pests and diseases. It is environmentally friendly and suitable for both greenhouse and open-field crops, including vegetables, berries, and melons.
