Korea East-West Power has completed the world's first energy-saving high-performance "Eco Glass Green Room" using solar waste panels in Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan.
Korea East-West Power announced on the 14th that it is supporting the Eco-Glass Greenhouse Research and Commercialization Model Development Project using waste solar module extraction reinforced glass from January of this year to December of next year.
Under the supervision of H5, Seoul National University's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, MainStreams, Ulsan Smart Farm, and the Korea Quality Foundation participated as research institutes. The reinforced glass of the waste panel owned by East-West Power was modified by increasing the light transmittance of H5 and constructed by MainStreams. Ulsan Smart Farm was in charge of growing and operating crops.
Professors at Seoul National University (Horticultural Biotechnology Department, Department of Agriculture, Economy, and Social Affairs) are in charge of monitoring the growth environment, demonstration, and business model evaluation, while the Korea Quality Foundation verifies the feasibility of carbon credits.
