Farmers in Kyrgyzstan's Jayyl district (Chuy region) have planted tomato seedlings over 260 hectares using transplanting machines, marking the first time this method has been applied in the area, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The tomatoes include varieties such as Heinz, Talent, and Blend. After being grown in greenhouses, the seedlings were moved to open fields using four different transplanting machines over three weeks.
According to local officials, using this equipment improves planting efficiency and may result in higher yields while also saving time and labor costs.
Previously, similar machines had only been used in the Panfilov district. Farmers in Jayyl are now preparing for what they expect to be a strong harvest.
