Hosted by Abe Wiebe (Universal Fabricating), the event brought together over 200 crew members involved in the ongoing development of the two facilities. Attendees included screen installers, welders, electricians, laborers, and construction personnel. The gathering served as a pause in operations to recognize workforce contributions across both builds. "A true reflection of the collaborative effort it takes to bring these greenhouse builds to life", the organizers said.
Both greenhouse developments are part of a broader expansion in the Leamington region. The Double Diamond Farms project spans 30 hectares. The site will integrate energy-efficient systems, like of course the climate screens. The De Temporada project is another 5 hectare.
Participating companies noted the importance of on-site collaboration and labor continuity during project execution. "We're proud to be part of these projects and grateful for the opportunity to contribute. There's no "I" in team, and this day was all about showing appreciation for the hardworking individuals who make it happen."
Work continues on both greenhouse facilities, with construction teams advancing structural and systems installation.
