The bell pepper prices at the auctions of the Federation of Belgian Horticultural Cooperatives have seen a slight recovery over the past week. Despite this, the average price of €0.91 per kilo in week 19 is still considered low.

Tomato prices are also below the five-year average. At the end of week 19, the average price for vine tomatoes is €0.69, while loose tomatoes are priced at €0.57. This represents a further price drop of over €0.10 for loose tomatoes.

The price of cucumbers had recently seen a slight increase, but in week 19, there was another price drop, bringing the average price down to €0.34 each.

In week 19, the price for lettuce also dropped slightly to €0.51 each. However, unlike cucumbers, the average price for lettuce remains above the five-year average.

Strawberry volumes are high due to the abundantly sunny weather, leading to relatively low prices that are below the five-year average.
