Sharing CHP heat through former geothermal pipeline

A technical upgrade has been carried out on the heating network in Horst. The former geothermal line has been adapted for a more efficient and flexible use of heat in the California horticultural area.

Thanks to the collaboration between Vereijken Kwekerijen and the adjacent company Van Lipzig Tuinderijen (cucumber cultivation), the growers can now both supply heat from the CHPs to the shared network and draw from it. This increases certainty during maintenance or malfunctions and contributes to a stable and sustainable heat supply, the tomato grower shares on social media.
