The Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, has announced that there has been an increase in tomato exports of up to 2048%.
Peci, in a Facebook post, wrote that in 2021, tomato exports by weight were 135 tons, while in 2024 it reached an impressive figure of 2900 tons.
"This has brought about an extraordinary increase of 2048%. Through rural development programs, we have supported the establishment of about 60ha of new greenhouses, worth 13 million, 758 thousand, 452 euros," Peci wrote.
