Driscoll's has been recognized as the second-largest retail food and beverage brand in Circana's latest ranking. This marks a significant milestone for the company, which has maintained steady growth in the fresh produce sector.
Since first entering the top ten in 2019, Driscoll's has consistently expanded its presence in the market. By the end of 2024, it was one of only two brands among the top 15 to achieve double-digit growth in both unit and dollar sales.
"It's an important recognition to be ranked among major brands," said Soren Bjorn, CEO of Driscoll's. "Our focus remains on ensuring quality and taste, making fresh produce an appealing part of consumers' diets."
Driscoll's growth aligns with broader consumer preferences for fresh food, despite economic challenges such as inflation. Circana's data indicates that fresh berries have been among the fastest-growing consumer goods in the U.S. for several years.
"Driscoll's ranked as the second-highest selling brand nationally, moving up two spots from last year with 12% growth in sales and 13% growth in units sold," said Jonna Parker, vice president of Circana's fresh foods group. "This makes it the fastest-growing brand among the top 40 in U.S. retail."
Berries continue to be one of the strongest-performing fresh food categories, contributing $4.2 billion in sales over the past five years. Product innovations, including premium selections and organic offerings, have played a role in expanding the category.
Driscoll's recent growth and industry impact also earned it a place on Fast Company's 2024 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies, highlighting the increasing influence of fresh produce in the retail sector.
