Vertical is a machine designed for harvesting leafy vegetables in bunches, and it was introduced on the market as early as 2022 by Dari Ecomeccanica, a company based in Eboli (Salerno). This innovation stands out for its customized cutting and harvesting system, which allows vegetables to be harvested in an organized and efficient manner.
With Vertical, operators can easily manage 2/3 rows at a time, which halves labor costs for the same harvested area.
"Vertical adapts to a variety of leafy vegetables including rocket, coriander, spinach and baby spinach, parsley, and basil, promising to maintain product integrity thanks to its delicate and orderly harvesting, which emulates the precision of manual harvesting," explains Francesco Roselli from Dari Ecomeccanica.
"The machine proceeds slowly, cutting and moving the vegetables so that operators can easily divide them into bunches. In addition, Vertical can be equipped with a tying and labeling machine to further optimize the harvesting and packaging process."
"A further strength of Vertical is its flexibility in terms of power supply, which can be either electric or endothermic depending on the customer's specific needs."
As with other Dari Ecomeccanica machines, Vertical can also be equipped with sensors and devices compatible with Agriculture 4.0, making it a state-of-the-art solution for modern farming. Vertical not only simplifies and makes leafy vegetable harvesting more efficient, but also opens the way to new possibilities in mechanized agriculture, promising to reduce labor costs and improve the quality of the harvested product.
Dari Ecomeccanica will attend Fruit Logistica in stand B01, Hall 1.1.
