India: Director of Agriculture visits greenhouses at Narkara Budgam

Director of Agriculture, Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, visited hi-tech poly houses in a vegetable cluster at Narkara Budgam.

Speaking to the Agri entrepreneurs at Narkara, the Director underscored the importance of vertical expansion in vegetable cultivation. He said under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program HADP, the department is working on a special project for round-the-year cultivation of different vegetable crops.

He said the vegetables in these hi-tech Poly-houses are one such step in this direction. He said to achieve this goal department has established Hi-tech Poly-houses in all the districts of the Kashmir division.

The Director of Agriculture highlighted the Importance of conducive agro-climatic conditions of the valley and asked the farmers to diversify their agriculture operations.
