Hanoi's agriculture sector is focusing on building a stable market and demand-based production, developing value chains, and using digital technology in transactions to ensure sustainable growth.
According to Nguyen Xuan Dai, Director of the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the sector has successfully established a steady market and embraced digital technology to facilitate trade. "The market plays a crucial role in determining the value of agricultural products, and that's why production must align with market demands", he said.
Despite challenges, the capital city's agriculture aims to overfulfill its growth target of over 3%. Following the flooding in July, the sector is working with localities to recover affected crops and fisheries, focusing on fast-growing and short-cycle vegetables to mitigate risks from future floods.
