Washing fruit does not remove pesticides, study finds

Researchers found pesticides on washed apples went farther than skin deep, penetrating the peel and even into the pulp layer.

Instead of the common practice of washing, they recommend peeling your fruit. This should effectively eliminate all pesticide residues.
