Slovenia: Lettuce greenhouse gets 9M euros investment to produce 4M lettuce head per year

At the beginning of June, Panvita began investing in a greenhouse dedicated to lettuce production. Production is expected to start in June next year, with the investment valued at 9 million euros. The greenhouse will cover a total cultivation area of 2 hectares. This investment focuses on high-tech vegetable production year-round, utilizing a sophisticated cultivation system and movable growing channels. It also enables precise control and regulation of microclimatic conditions. Panvita plans to produce 4 million heads of lettuce annually.

Panvita is committed to continuous improvement and development. The company's dedication to offering high-quality, fresh local products has earned it a top position among Slovenian consumers. Consequently, Panvita consistently aims to expand its range of high-quality local foods and introduce innovative solutions. The investment in the greenhouse reflects Panvita's pledge to provide quality, fresh, local, and sustainable products. Through such investments, Panvita seeks to increase local production and reduce dependence on imported products. The company believes this will enhance food security and ensure the availability of fresh, high-quality vegetable products for Slovenian consumers.
