Rijk Zwaan’s sweet pepper brands receive high recognition from the International Taste Institute (ITQI)

Last week, Rijk Zwaan's Tatayoyo and Sweet Palermo received high recognition from the International Taste Institute (ITQI). The esteemed ITQI jury, consisting of multiple renowned chefs, awarded high marks to Rijk Zwaan's products. Tatayoyo achieved the highest rating of three stars for its exceptional, appearance, olfaction, bursting flavour and texture. Sweet Palermo also received excellent scores, with the yellow sweet pointed pepper earning three stars as well. This recognition perfectly aligns with Rijk Zwaan's strategy to support these products with a brand that allows the company to explain their benefits throughout the supply chain.

Tatayoyo's bursting flavour recognized by ITQI award
For the second time, Tatayoyo has achieved the highest rating possible from the ITQI jury, which is made up of over 20 top chefs. This prestigious recognition reaffirms Tatayoyo's bursting flavour, distinguishing it from other snack peppers. Another thing that sets Tatayoyo sweet pepper apart from other peppers is its convenient size, making it perfect for on-the-go consumption.

Recognition for Sweet Palermo 's colours
While Tatayoyo is perfect for snacking, Sweet Palermo stands out for its versatility. Its notably sweeter taste, compared to other sweet peppers, makes it a consumer favourite. The familiar red Sweet Palermo, along with other colours in the range, received a 2-star rating from the ITQI jury of 88,4% , whereas the yellow sweet pointed pepper achieved an impressive 3-star rating, meaning it scored higher than 90%. Rijk Zwaan is happy with the results, especially for the yellow sweet pointed pepper as it perfectly suits the company's ambition to add more colour to the shelf. Consumers find the colourful sweet pointed peppers especially appealing when combined with the familiar red sweet pointed pepper.
