There was a lot of interest for Lifebox, Lifemat and Lifefilm at the latest edition of Macfrut, with the SMP stand at the center of attention. Lifemat is a special 'mat' which, paired with the cardboard box (Lifebox) and the film cover (Lifefilm), helps extend the life of fresh produce up to 16 days, compared with what already achieved with the Lifebag.
"The shelf life is more than tripled thanks to our patent that includes biodegradable or compostable materials," reports one of the inventors, Nicola De Mattia. Lifebox also features a unique design with prints.
"Thanks to their natural active principles, these innovative packaging solutions create an ideal environment to preserve produce freshness. Their ability to maintain fruits and vegetables fresh for longer reduces the risk of having to throw them away prematurely."
