Guldzhan Khayidova, a businesswoman from the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, achieved notable success in tomato exports last year. Official sources in Turkmenistan reported that Khayidova exported 120 tons of tomatoes to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan from her private greenhouse.
Situated on 2 hectares of land within the S.A. Niyazov agricultural association in the Charjev district of the Lebap region, Khayidova's greenhouse started cultivating the "Marvelans" tomato variety imported from the Netherlands in September 2021. By early 2022, she began harvesting a substantial yield.
The "Marvelans" and "Cherry" tomato varieties, grown in the greenhouse, are planted in September and begin bearing fruit after 5–6 months, reaching optimal height. With proper care, each tomato plant can yield 7-15 kg. Notably, these varieties continue fruiting for 6–7 months, contributing to Khayidova's successful export venture.
