The 2024 Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days will feature sessions on sustainability, soil management, pest and disease management, and a day of vegetable information.
The event will be held Feb. 7-8, 2024, at Lake Michigan College’s Mendel Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan. It is hosted by the Michigan Grape Society and Michigan State University Extension.
A full day of farm marketing education returns for another year. New this year is a full day dedicated to vegetables, with topics including squash viruses, irrigation monitoring information, and trial reports from the Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center.
Registration and the trade show begin at 8 a.m., and the educational sessions start at 9 a.m. on both days. A wine showcase free for all attendees will be on the afternoon of Feb. 7. Pre-registration for both days is $ 60 per person, postmarked before Jan. 19. Registrations for both days postmarked after Jan. 19, online and at the door, will be $75 per person. Single-day registrations are available for a $15 discount.

MSU Extension educators, commercial growers, and outside experts will provide informative talks and answer questions in educational sessions. RUP credits will be included for many of the sessions.
