Stavropol Region to introduce regional grants for greenhouse agriculture:

Stavropol greenhouse vegetable farming to receive new form of government support

Commencing in 2024, around 20 agricultural enterprises will be eligible for regional grants in the form of subsidies dedicated to establishing tunnel greenhouses, as announced by the regional Ministry of Agriculture. The regional treasury will allocate a sum of 10 million rubles to fund this initiative.

The estimated annual production volume of vegetables from these newly established greenhouse modules is projected to be approximately 90 tons, generating an annual income of around 5.5 million rubles for the recipients.

Stavropol Region holds the top position in Russia for greenhouse tomato production and ranks fourth in overall greenhouse vegetable production. As of the beginning of the year, the region's greenhouses have yielded an impressive 107,400 tons of vegetables.

The injection of financial support into the creation of tunnel greenhouses is anticipated to not only increase the overall output of greenhouse vegetables but also provide a steady income stream for participating agricultural entities.
