Las- & Montagebedrijf FBO and the Voorwinden Group continue together

The Voorwinden Group and Las- & Montagebedrijf FBO have decided to join forces. The takeover formally took place earlier this year and is now being announced.

The parties have been working together for decades. Initial talks were held late last year to move forward together. The companies have a similar company culture, share the same no-nonsense mentality, and have many similarities.

During the talks, it soon became clear that the desire of both parties was to change as little as possible in their current operations. They want to complement and strengthen each other where necessary. Shortly afterwards, the parties, therefore, reached an agreement, and Voorwinden Group eventually acquired all shares in FBO.

Heating installation
Las- & Montagebedrijf FBO was founded in 1991 by Frans Olierook and has grown in recent years into a subcontractor of greenhouse heating installations of stature, says Maik Voorwinden. "This makes FBO the ideal partner for the Voorwinden Group."

Over the next few years, Frans Olierook will stay on as director of FBO. Thus, not much will change for FBO's clients in practice. However, Voorwinden Groep will look at how it can integrate FBO's knowledge and expertise into its organization and how it can include the installation of heating in its offers to clients.

With greater capacity and strength, the Voorwinden Group can respond even better to the needs of its national and international clients by being able to offer projects from foundation to installation of the heating system. "One party and one point of contact for all this work was already unique and is now extended even further to include heating installation."

The new partnership represents 100 staff. Together with an extensive modern fleet of 230 machines, both parties see this as "a rock-solid combination."

With this acquisition, Voorwinden Group strengthened its position as the largest Dutch subcontractor of greenhouse construction projects with a working area all over the world, but with a focus that remains on the Dutch and North American markets. "We are immensely proud of this step and look forward to the future with confidence."
