Facilitating a more consistent nitrogen release

In this story, Beekenkamp Plants, a young plant producer from the Netherlands, demonstrates how collaboration can yield positive results. The video explains the development of their optimized organic growing media through trials at a customer's facility, focusing on their special additive, BVB Levo.

At Beekenkamp Plants, a variety of young plants are produced. Dimitri, the cultivation coordinator, oversees the growing strategy and research for the young vegetable plants intended for open-soil cultivation. The company places significant importance on sustainability, encompassing climate control, efficient water and nutrient utilization, and substrate selection.

The video invites viewers to learn more about the research and development conducted by Beekenkamp Plants over the years.

The video also introduces BVB Levo, a special additive designed for the organic cultivation of vegetables, herbs, and plants (SKAL/Fibl label). Over the years, many growers have sought to make organic cultivation successful, but the transition to organic fertilizers has presented challenges. Growers have faced issues such as rising pH values and unstable ammonium levels during the cultivation process, leading to difficulties in maintaining control and efficiency.

BVB Levo is presented as a solution to these challenges. By incorporating BVB Levo into organic cultivation methods, it acts as a pH buffer and promotes the rapid buildup of nitrifying bacteria at the beginning of cultivation, facilitating a more consistent nitrogen release.

Furthermore, BVB Levo enhances the efficiency of nutrient use from organic fertilizers, allowing plants to absorb more nutrients from the same amount of fertilizer. As a result, growers can reduce the quantity of nutrients needed to achieve the same level of plant growth.
