One of the largest Turkish holdings, Alarko Holding, is ready to invest in a number of projects in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan.
The prospects for cooperation were discussed at a meeting between the Vice Minister of Agriculture, Baghlan Bekbauov, and the President of the company Nuri Yildiz.
In particular, the Turkish investor is considering the possibility of creating open-ground greenhouse complexes, enterprises for the production of organometal fertilizers, processing and selling food products, as well as R&D projects in Kazakhstan.
The vice minister spoke separately about the measures of state support through the Ministry of Agriculture.
Baghlan Bekbauov spoke about plans to amend the existing Ken Dala program, which involves financing only open-ground vegetables at the rate of about 200 thousand tenges per hectare in terms of including greenhouse vegetable producers in this program.
The Ministry of Agriculture, for its part, is ready to provide all the necessary conditions and provide comprehensive support, the vice minister added.
Until 2030, the holding plans to invest about $100 million in agriculture.
