The Bruchsal-based company tech-solute is constructing a "test and teach" greenhouse for a project of the Future Laboratory (Z-LAB Bruchsal) of the Auerbach Foundation and the Heisenberg High School. The goal is to find out in experiments how much water, light, and nutrients are necessary for an optimal supply of plants, such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and the like, and to automatize them "smartly," reports Landfunker.de.
Engineers and interns from tech-solute have accompanied the project and are responsible for the construction. The engineers took care of the energy supply, safety, maintenance options, and communication interfaces. One of the most important tasks was the implementation of two switch boxes. One box with 230 volts is connected to one with 24 volts, on which the students can work safely. These boxes contain the control units and micro-computers.
