For plants to thrive and grow quickly, they need access to a certain amount of different wavelengths of light. Greenhouses and indoor farms use special luminaires that use a combination of red, blue, and white LEDs according to the light recipe of the plants. Current LED lamps usually use Lambertian lenses without auxiliary optics or use simple glass caps so that a large amount of light is gathered under the lamp to form a heat radiation point. This creates uneven light intensity across areas, resulting in uneven plant yields.
At present, these insufficiently illuminated areas are generally compensated by adding additional devices. The Ledestar 351V angel series can solve this big problem. The shape of this product is similar to batwing, which helps customers to simplify the design, such as reducing the number of devices or improving efficiency.
When it comes to artificial lights, growers are often faced with uneven lighting and spacing ratio issues. Currently, growers try to compensate by increasing the number of lamps or accepting that some plants get more light than others. This is not a satisfactory solution.
The angel series launched by Ledestar has a rectangular distribution of light within the range of 130-140°, which makes the light distribution more uniform and makes better use of the greenhouse space. This solution can improve system efficiency by 5% comp compared to lighting systems using LEDs and optics from the Angel series.
Ledestar 351V angel series now adds four new products, namely red light (660nm), blue light (450nm), infrared light (730nm), and white light, covering all wavelengths required for plants. All products are compact, only 3.5mm x 3.5 mm, can maintain excellent radiation flux, and have an excellent service life of more than 100,000 hours. It can withstand high-temperature and work 4000h continuously in an environment containing sulfur (1g/L), Ta=45℃. Additionally, these products offer industry-leading PPE values. The red light product provides 1140mW light output at 700 mA with a WPE of 79% and a PPE of 4.34μmol/J.
