Webinar Thursday, July 20:

The importance of climate and context in tomato production

Building on presentations at the Global Tomato Congress and CEA 4.0, a new webinar from WayBeyond will challenge the singular focus on achieving high-yield prediction accuracy. Referencing real data from tomato crop cycles their crop science and data science teams unearthed other important factors that provide context to assist decision-making.

Some points of discussion will be:

Why solely chasing the “holy grail” of high accuracy yield prediction isn’t the right approach.
What causes unexpected high or low-yield events and their impact on prediction accuracy.
How interpreting yield prediction with additional contextual data improves decision-making.
The webinar will be hosted by WayBeyond’s Daniel Than and Lee Kirsopp. The pair will also be joined by WayBeyond’s Director of Crop Science and Agronomy, Dr. Tharindu Weeraratne, Ph.D., who will participate in the Q&A.

The webinar will be held on Thursday, July 20, at 9 am UK time / 10 am Europe / 6 pm Aus / 8 pm NZT.
