Recently, the 'Siemens Smart Agriculture Planting Industry Summit' was held in Dezhou, Shandong province. The delegation visited the Smart Agriculture Industrial Park to explore and understand the application of the greenhouse control system based on the Siemens Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal.

The delegation visited the packaging facility, glass greenhouse, and intelligent equipment center. They learned more about the development, products, production and sales, and intelligent greenhouse construction of the Caijin Smart Agriculture Industrial Park. The delegation expressed appreciation for the achievements made in the development of smart agriculture.

In the future, smart agriculture will learn from industrial intelligent automation technology to accelerate the development of greenhouse horticulture, improve production efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and obtain more stable crop output.
There are high expectations for the development of smart agriculture in China. Given the limited availability of arable land, vertical farming and greenhouse cultivation have gained popularity in China. These techniques involve growing crops in vertically stacked layers or controlled environments, allowing for year-round production, reduced water usage, and protection from external factors.
Siemens is trying to capitalize on this trend through its digitalized automation services, from digital planning to integrated engineering and transparent operation
