A new greenhouse complex will be built in Chukotka

The government of Chukotka and TK Chukotsky LLC have signed an agreement to cooperate on the construction of a year-round greenhouse complex in the region.

Chukotka Prime Minister Vladislav Kuznetsov noted that the greenhouse complex will increase the level of self-sufficiency of the regional capital's residents in locally grown vegetables to 80%.

The greenhouse complex is expected to produce 140 tonnes of cucumbers, 240 tonnes of tomatoes, 250 tonnes of lettuce, and 50 tonnes of strawberries per year. The sale of greenhouse vegetables is planned to begin by the end of 2025.

The project will be the first in Russia to use a high-tech platform that allows for the detection of anomalies in the greenhouse without human intervention. It will effectively manage the work of staff in the greenhouse and create the ideal microclimate.

The concession agreement for the construction of the greenhouse complex is planned to be concluded this year, with an expected investment volume of approximately 11.9 million euros.
