Philippine: Bulacan village benefits from DA hydroponics greenhouse

The Department of Agriculture (DA) in Central Luzon has turned over a greenhouse with a hydroponics farm to the Bausa Integrated Farm (BIF) in San Ildefonso town in Bulacan province.

The turnover held on May 30 in Barangay Gabihan was part of the National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP) of the DA, officials said.

The facility worth P927,775.85 was accepted by BIF Chairperson Luis Bausa, according to officials.

Also present during the event were NUPAP National Coordinator Aster Paglinawan, Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension Dr. Eduardo Lapuz, Jr., Provincial Governor Daniel Fernando, Field Operations Division Chief Elma Mananes, Engr. AB David and Provincial Agriculturist Gigi Carillo.
