Johan van Lubek appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Dalsem

Johan van Lubek has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Dalsem. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, change management, and scaling businesses, Johan will support Dalsem’s CEO to evolve and grow the company’s operations globally.

Marcel Boesenach is stepping down as Finance Director after a 22-year career at Dalsem, having successfully managed the company’s finances during its acquisition by COFRA Holding last year.

Melle Kruisdijk, Dalsem CEO, commented: “I am happy to officially welcome Johan as Dalsem’s new CFO after supporting the team as a consultant for several months. We have ambitious plans to scale our business and increase sustainability in the years ahead. With his wealth of international experience, Johan will play a key role in Dalsem’s transformation.

I want to thank Marcel for his decades of service at Dalsem during a period of rapid growth and for being such a supportive and engaged colleague. We wish him all the best in the future.”

Johan van Lubek, new Dalsem CFO, commented: “I am excited to join Dalsem as it transforms and scales up, building on its global reputation for quality and reliability to meet the increasing demand for large, high-tech greenhouses. With the climate crisis and a constantly expanding population, I am convinced that Dalsem can play a central role in ensuring reliable food production in the years ahead.”

David Levin, Executive Chair of COFRA Holding’s Sustainable Food Group, said: “We are committed to investing in Dalsem’s growth over the long term, including in developing the senior leadership team. Under Melle’s leadership, with support from Johan and the broader team, Dalsem is transforming to offer large-scale greenhouses that meet the demands of customers today and into the future. First-class customer service and innovation are crucial, which means the latest technology and a sharper focus on making greenhouses more sustainable.”
