In the morning hours of May 6, strong winds and hailstorms were effective in Mersin's Anamur and Bozyazi districts. Due to the storm, the nylons of the greenhouses were blown away, and some of them were destroyed. The people of the region who came to their greenhouses were surprised by the sight they saw. The work to remove the destroyed greenhouses has begun. The tornado that broke out in the sea in Anamur on the same day caused destruction in an area of 5 square kilometers between the Fatih and Akarca districts. More than 200 banana and strawberry greenhouses were destroyed, while the roofs of some houses were blown off. Mersin Governor's Office announced that 13 people were injured in the storm and tornado in Anamur district, and approximately 100 greenhouses were heavily damaged.
