Intelligent crop monitoring system helps optimize greenhouse crop

Ecobloom Technologies, an AgriTech startup based in Sweden, has announced a new collaboration with Kabbarps Trädgård, a renowned greenhouse producer. The collaboration aims to optimize Kabbarps' farming practices by utilizing Ecobloom's intelligent crop monitoring system, EcoSense.

EcoSense is designed to help indoor farmers optimize their yield while reducing energy costs. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning, EcoSense provides real-time insights into plant health and growth, allowing farmers to make data-driven decisions and take corrective actions where necessary.

Through this collaboration, Kabbarps Trädgård will be able to leverage Ecobloom's expertise in plant analytics and receive customized recommendations for improving their farming practices. This will help Kabbarps to optimize their yield and reduce their energy costs, thereby increasing their profitability.

"We are excited to collaborate with Ecobloom and support each other on this journey towards sustainable and profitable indoor farming practices," said Peter Säll, CEO of Kabbarps Trädgård.

Air, water and camera's
"Our plant analytics software, EcoSense, has been developed to help farms like Kabbarps to optimize their yield and reduce their energy costs, and we are confident that this collaboration will deliver significant value to both parties," says Hamza Qadoumi, CEO of Ecobloom Technologies

Ecobloom provides air, water and multispectral camera sensors. In the future, the company is looking to connect other existing sensors that a farm may already have in place.

The air sensors provide information on temperature, humidity, PAR and VDP, water sensors provide information on temperature, pH, EC and TDS, and the camera's inform growers on the growth rate, disease identification, plant deviations & stress, yield prediction and nutrient analysis.

The dashboard is where all the insights are visualized and analysed, here farmers are able to see the different specifics of each micro climate and keep track of batch health and harvesting.

Some examples of what Ecosense has previously done, is create ventilation strategies and cut energy costs from lighting by tracking photosynthetic activity and having the lights timed to when this is active.

"The collaboration between Ecobloom Technologies and Kabbarps Trädgård is a testament to the growing importance of data-driven farming practices in the agricultural sector. By leveraging the power of technology and data analytics, farmers can optimize their yield and reduce their environmental impact, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future", Hamza concludes.
