ReyTec Innovation Projects in Honselersdijk has won a special contract. The Westland company is to move the former greenhouse of the Floriade site in Almere, the so-called Green House, to its new final destination in Barneveld.
Raymond Mauritz may dismantle and rebuild The Green House from The Floriade Expo 2022
The Green House occupied the function of exhibition space for innovations and products from greenhouse horticulture during the world horticultural exhibition Floriade Expo 2022 (14 April to 9 October 2022). The greenhouse measures some 10,000 m2 and is as much as 14 meters high.
New owner
The new owner of The Green House is Midden Nederland Hallen (MNH) in Barneveld, a venue for exhibitions, conferences, company parties, and events. The company sees opportunities with The Green House and will use the greenhouse as an entrance hall and knowledge center, among other things. It will also become a foyer for events and a theatre for the well-known production company Studio100.
Dismantling started
To dismantle and move it to a new destination, MNH came to Raymond Mauritz of ReyTec in Westland. "We have already started dismantling the greenhouse in Almere," says Honselersdijker-based Mauritz. "This process is expected to be completed by the end of March. We will then start reconstruction around July/August. That will take about five months. Then I am talking about laying the foundation, construction, furnishing, building up the foyer, decor, etc. Why were we chosen by the client? I think because we see complex projects as a challenge, which is when we are in our strength. We completely unburden the client in the process, so they don't have to worry about it themselves."
