In-person Grower Summit on March 9 in Leamington, Canada

The ACT group, a collaboration of five industry-leading providers, is teaming up to offer growers in the Leamington area in Ontario, Canada, an opportunity to gather together in Leamington and learn about new trends in greenhouse food production with the Leamington Grower Summit. The Grower Summit, a half-day in-person event, will be hosted by ACT group members: Grodan, Growtec, Philips Horticulture LED Solutions, Priva, and Svensson, on Thursday, March 9, 2023. 

This free educational program will provide valuable insights on how to improve sustainability and boost the profitability of greenhouse food production. Presenters will share information on growing practices and trends, including growing systems and cropping strategies for strawberries, root zone management, transpiration-based growing and energy efficiency, and optimizing greenhouses using screening and airflow strategies.

Also on the agenda are two guest speakers, Haris Ahmadzai, Enbridge Gas, and Gordon Hartley, Hydro One; Ahmadzai and Hartley will provide information on the availability of energy rebates, the rebate application process, and eligibility criteria.

The Grower Summit will be held at the Roma Club in Leamington, Ontario, on Thursday, March 9, 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Complimentary lunch will be available for attendees. The event will be followed by a complimentary happy hour at the conclusion of the event. Registration is required for the Grower Summit.
