Organic Produce Summit 2023 attendee registration opens

With general and retailer registration now open and planning well underway for educational sessions and keynote presentations, Organic Produce Summit 2023, which will be held July 12-13 in Monterey, California, is poised to be the largest yet and will include some fresh and new activities for all participants.

OPS 2023 is set to be the largest yet and will include some new activities for participants.

The highlights of OPS 2023 include a sold-out trade show floor featuring 170 organic fresh produce producers, insightful and engaging educational sessions and keynotes focused on the top issues facing the industry, and a host of networking activities, including a gala opening night reception.

"Based on the feedback from our sponsors and exhibitors, OPS 2023 is shaping up as our biggest and best yet. We've increased the number of booths in our exhibitor halls to accommodate some of those companies that have been on our waiting list, and we are running significantly ahead of last year with our retailer registration," said Susan Canales, president of Organic Produce Summit. "We're keeping things fresh with new and different activities."

Some of the new events include:

  • The first-ever retailer field tour to an organic CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture) facility showcasing revolutionary growing and packaging.
  • A special cocktail event prior to the opening reception for those new to the industry or attending their first-ever OPS.
  • A two-hour educational session focused on the "power of plants" and how the industry can gain messaging ideas to help market and sell more fresh produce.

"The landscape of the entire produce industry continues to change before our eyes. Topics like sustainability, ag tech, plant-based, and CEA are front and center for our attendees," Canales said. "We pride ourselves on delivering a first-rate educational program where attendees can take home what they've learned and further the sales of fresh organic produce."

Over the coming weeks, the complete OPS 2023 schedule will be announced, including all educational sessions and a pair of keynote presentations.

Organic Produce Summit 2023 is designed to bring together organic fresh produce growers, shippers, and processors with retailers and buying organizations from across North America. OPS connects the various components of the organic produce industry through education, information, and networking opportunities.
