Florinco has developed a transmitter/receiver technology that allows very accurate (down to 5cm) real-time and 3D tracking of the location and movement of, for example, a trolley or forklift truck. The receiver is placed on the object to be tracked and moves in an area where the transmitters are mounted.
Registration at the nursery
The technology is easy to apply at the nursery. On all transport systems where a receiver from Florinco is mounted, a real-time record is kept of where the products are picked up and put down per trip. In addition, the number of journeys/number of products, per vehicle, per location is recorded.
Automatically moving vehicles (tractors and trolleys) can be tracked in real time. All generated data can be kept up-to-date in Florinco's visualisation programme: BergVision.
A next step in the application of the technology is the deployment of the in-house developed drone, which, by making autonomous flights, can automatically update greenhouse registration, monitor crops (for e.g. growth deviations), identify diseases/pests, and calculate harvest prognosis.
Distribution centres and cold stores
Technology is also a useful tool in distribution centres and cold stores for real-time determination of the location of all forklifts and pallet lifters.
