"Vegetable seeds are not included in the international sanction lists," explains director Ben Tax in the Dutch financial newspaper Financieele Dagblad. "We feed citizens and we do that globally. We will not be used as a political toy," he firmly says. Figures regarding turnover in Russia, Ukraine or China - where Rijk Zwaan supplies seeds as well - the company doesn't provide.
