Qatar markets to offer 40 types of vegetables during football world cup

Local farmers in Qatar are ramping up production of 40 vegetable types in expectation of huge demand for produce due to the global football showpiece set to take place there later this month. 

The ministry of agriculture authorized the markets and will do quality checks on fresh produce to ensure standards, with as many as 140 farms expected to produce over 14 000 tons.
