Recently, the national headquarter and demonstration base of 58 Agriculture located in the core area of Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park introduced a new batch of blueberry seedlings, a total of 15,000 blueberry seedlings, mainly three varieties of Legacy, Phoenix, and Faxin, with a strong flavor, good taste, and abundant yield. This is the first time that the base plants blueberry seedlings. At the same time, the construction of the 58 Science and Technology Agriculture Headquarters and Technology Integration Center in the base has also been completed, and the installation of laboratory equipment is currently underway.
The national headquarter and demonstration base of 58 Agriculture is located in Zhanghe Village, Xingyi Town, Xinjin District, Chengdu. It was built by 58 Group, China's leading Internet enterprise innovating the "new traffic + new agriculture" model across borders and new villages, with a total investment of 25 million RMB, covering an area of 9.1 hectares. It has a high-standard tissue culture and virus detection laboratory, a citrus virus-free seedling breeding center, and a blueberry planting demonstration area. After completion, it will produce 400,000 high-quality citrus virus-free seedlings and 300,000 blueberries annually.
The project staff said that the reason for the use of pots is that it is easy to control the pH of the soil. Blueberries like acidic soil and potted plants can scientifically match the soil to create the soil properties that blueberries like. Also, relying on the digital water and fertilizer management center, the blueberries are accurately fertilized and watered to help them grow rapidly.
It is planned to go on the market in different peak seasons and realize full coverage of early, middle, and late ripening of blueberries in 58 Agriculture.
"The blueberries at the Xinjin base have brought the annual supply of blueberries to 58 Agriculture a step forward." The base revealed that 58 Agriculture achieved the longest supply of blueberries by arranging different production areas and rationally arranging the proportion of varieties.
At present, 58 Agriculture has planted early-ripening blueberries in the Mengzi base, Yunnan, and the market time is from January to the end of April; late-ripening blueberries have been planted in the Lanping base in Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan, and the market time is July-September. The ripening time of open-air blueberries in Xinjin Base is from mid-May to the end of June. As far as the time to market is concerned, 58 Agriculture has achieved full coverage of domestic blueberries in early, middle, and late ripening.
