Dutch job agencies: "At least 75% less greenhouse work in the coming months"

In the coming months, there will be at least 75% less demand for migrant workers in greenhouses in Westland, the Netherlands. That is what local job agencies told a regional broadcaster, Omroep West. More and more glasshouse growers are reducing their production or stopping altogether because of the high gas prices. So, there is less need for migrant labor.

The broadcaster spoke to Brian van Lexmond of NL Jobs, Robin Taal of Tradiro, Solution's Hans Pruis, and Hans Thunissen of Polska Porada. They also followed up with Glastuinbouw Nederland and the Straat Consulaat foundation. You can read the full article here  (In Dutch).
