Cualin Quality signs an agreement with Rijk Zwaan to produce Reddery RZ cherry tomatoes at its high-tech facilities

Cualin Quality and Rijk Zwaan will boost Reddery RZ together. Both companies have signed a collaboration agreement to produce the Reddery RZ variety at Cualin Quality's high-tech facilities and supply the market with a product for the tomato's premium segment.

From left to right, Juan Jose Lopez (Cualin Quality's general manager), David Herzog (Rijk Zwaan's tomato cultivation coordinator), Yos Linhorst (a partner at Cualin Quality), Manuel Hernández (tomato cultivation specialist at Rijk Zwaan) and Alberto Cuadrado (Rijk Zwaan's head of chain projects).

The Experimentation and Development Centers (CED) and the Cualin Quality facilities have been able to verify the excellent behavior, production, and stability of the organoleptic quality of the Reddery RZ round cherry tomato for branch harvesting variety, so it can be produced under high technology conditions 12 months a year.

The premium segment where this variety will be marketed has very high morphological and organoleptic quality standards, which have been widely confirmed at Rijk Zwaan's Retail Center in Berlin before this product is continuously available in European supermarkets.

The facilities, which are considered high-tech facilities in Spain, do not exceed 5% of the total cultivated area. Cualin Quality has been one of the pioneers with its nearly 40 hectares of production. Moreover, this production, which is in line with the 2030 agenda, is actively supported by efficient control of water and energy resources.
