Acquiring contracting companies results in Veldhoven Loonwerk

The Veldhoven Group will be taking over Marel Loonwerk. These Dutch companies announced this on July 21. The acquisition enables the group, which includes Machinaal Loonbedrijf Van Veldhoven, to optimize its services even further. Marel Loonwerk's future is thus secured, and Van Veldhoven creates more capacity.

The takeover combines the two family businesses' strengths. They have decades of experience in flexible and innovative contracting work for (greenhouse) horticulture. The new organisation will operate under the name Veldhoven Loonwerk and will be managed by Marcel van Veldhoven, Dennis van Veldhoven, Robbin van Veldhoven, Dick van Dijk, and Sito Berkhout.

Veldhoven Loonwerk's board of directors are, f.l.t.r, Marcel van Veldhoven, Robbin van Veldhoven, Dick van Dijk, Sito Berkhout, and Dennis van Veldhoven.

Veldhoven Loonwerk, a horticulture specialist, is located in a modern building in De Lier, the Netherlands. Its activities consist of greenhouse chalking and coating, complete crop changes, cleaning greenhouse roofs inside and out, disinfection, water purification, tillage, excavation, and whitening of roofs of business premises' roof whiting via dakwitten.nl.

Veldhoven Loonwerk has a clear vision for the future and wants to unburden horticultural companies further. "Merging these two experienced contracting firms gives us more capacity to respond even better to horticultural businesses' wishes," says Marcel van Veldhoven.

"The basic principle of us wanting to distinguish ourselves as a strong all-round contract work service provider, where quality and flexibility are key, remains. Marel Loonwerk wants continuity for the future, and we want to present ourselves even more as a total supplier in the market. Together we have skilled people, extra machinery, and a modern business location."

Nico van der Marel: "Since I have no successor, this is a logical step. One that's necessary to remain at the forefront of contract work, providing opportunities to improve and innovate. We can now best serve customers, also in the future. Continuity, for clients but certainly also for employees, is an important pillar of the Veldhoven Group's takeover. The impending farewell is hard for me for several reasons, but I'm sure the company will be continued in a good way under the Veldhoven Group's leadership."

"This partnership gives Veldhoven Loonwerk the clout to, for example, keep innovating, professionally, reliably, and progressively. Acquiring Marel Loonwerk means a fourth pillar is added to Van Veldhoven. We are now a complete provider and have almost all services in-house. We're convinced that joining forces offers many advantages to all our customers. Our collective professionals combine decades of experience in contract work in the horticultural sector. We're very grateful to Nico van der Marel for their confidence in us," concludes Marcel.
