FtsSort launches sweet potato washing and sorting machine on South American market

FstSort provides a wide array of automated selection equipment and other solutions for the selection and processing of fresh fruit and vegetables. Their washing equipment can handle the majority of fruits and vegetables, including sweet potatoes, apples, oranges, avocados, and blueberries. FstSort creates customized, individualized fruit and vegetable selection solutions based on the size of the fruit, the need to detect flaws or blemishes on the fruit peel, sugar content, tartness levels, etc.

"FstSort became active in the Chinese market in 2012. Ever since then, we have supplied Chinese companies with equipment for the cleaning and selecting of various fruits. We managed to break into the overseas market in 2018. We took advantage of 6 years of thorough market experience, an excellent company image, and outstanding products. In the last two years, the outbreak of Covid-19 has had a significant impact on shipping fees, which affected the global export market. Still, we are pleased to report a steady growth throughout the period between 2018 and 2021. Up until today, we have a ratio of domestic and export sales of 3:1," said Jason Wang of FstSort.

In order to continuously explore market opportunities and gain a greater understanding of consumer needs, FstSort actively participates in various expositions, such as the China Export Commodities Fair (Canton Fair) last year.

When talking about the impact of the ongoing pandemic, Jason Wang said: "The flow of people has not returned to pre-pandemic levels, and consumption is mediocre. However, we are not worried. Our own sales figures are quite good, especially in overseas markets. Our overseas market activities have steadily developed over the last four years, which is also the reason for our new factory. We will continue to use the old factory as storage."

One of the best-selling machines developed by FstSort is their washing and selection machine for sweet potatoes.

Jason Wang explained: "China is one of the largest producers of sweet potatoes. The annual production volume is huge. So the demand for high-quality washing and selection equipment for sweet potatoes keeps growing. The domestic market is still the largest market for these machines. Our main clients are concentrated in Shandong, Henan, Guangdong, and Hebei, as these are the main sweet potato production areas.

"At the same time, we are also sensitive to strong demand from overseas clients. After years of expanding overseas markets, we now have a well-established foothold in Europe, South Africa, Kenya, and Ethiopia. We have built up a loyal client base over the years. In order to provide comprehensive services, we cooperate with distributors in England and Mexico. We provide machine maintenance and other post-sale services. In the future, we also hope to enter the South American market via Peru. We welcome distributors with an interest in cooperation to contact us."
