Jerry Arkesteijn is introducing the new transport and harvesting boxes for greenhouse vegetables at Fruit Logistica 2022 in Berlin. They are designed for interference-free automatic processing when using transport and conveyors belts. The relatively open base is used with product that needs to be washed, rinsed or cooled. The main difference is that the edge has been modified, allowing the boxes to be stacked and unstacked more easily. There are three types; the base makes the difference:
Transport box high, with ribbed base.
Transport box high, with smooth grid base
Transport box high, with smooth, rather closed base. Drain in outline and centre. Specially developed for interference-free automatic processing when using conveyor belts. The rather closed bottom takes care of minimal pressure damage of your product.
Besides, the boxes are slightly lighter in weight, making it a slightly cheaper box. But speaking of materials: the prices of raw materials, such as plastics, are skyrocketing. Aart Jan Bos, Beekenkamp Verpakkingen: "The savings in the material costs of this box are actually overshadowed by this. We are indeed very happy that we can still deliver. The material is scarce. We are doing our utmost to meet the demand. And so far we are succeeding."
