Tozer and its partner, Pop Vriend Seeds, are organizing two webinars on spinach and Swiss chard on February 22 and 24

Ten new spinach varieties to star in Tozer Iberica's Open Days

Tozer Iberica, the Murcia-based seed company, held its open days from February 15 to 18 at its Las Flores test field, in El Albujon, Cartagena (Murcia).

During these four days, clients and professionals from the sector were able to learn firsthand about new developments in crops such as celery, Swiss chard, cavolo nero, fioretto, coriander, spinach, pak choi, and leek, among others.

The ten new highly resistant spinach varieties –Quartz, PV1723, PV1702, PV1716, PV1719, PV1721, PV1717, PV1656, Onyx, Opal–, were the undisputed stars of the conference. “Our collaboration with the Dutch Pop Vriend Seeds company has allowed us to offer a wide range of very high-quality spinach. These new varieties have very high resistance, adaptability, yield, and uniformity that meet the needs and expectations of our customers," stated Jose Carlos Grajeda, the commercial director at Tozer Iberica.

According to the company, these open days were very positive. “Open Days are of great importance to us. They allow us to showcase our range of products and advise and guide our customers in choosing the best varieties for them," Grajeda stated.

In addition to the Open Days, Tozer Iberica is organizing two webinars on spinach and chard with its partner, Pop Vriend Seeds, to continue offering innovative information on these crops. Attendees will be able to learn about the advances in spinach and chard from Anita van Nieuwenhoven, a seed treatment specialist at Pop Vriend Seeds. The sessions will have simultaneous translation into Spanish and will be held through the Zoom platform on Tuesday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. and on Thursday, February 24 at 4:00 p.m.
