11-hectare greenhouse construction underway for Dutch tomato grower

Over the past couple of years, we have all been traveling less, so you may not have seen Schiphol airport for a while. However, when you drive towards the airport on the A4, you will see KUBO's new build project, Schenkeveld Schiphol.

The fourth greenhouse for Schenkeveld Schiphol
Preparations are currently underway for the construction of the fourth greenhouse. The work will start in mid-April 2022. In this equally high-tech Venlo greenhouse covering around 11 ha, the plants will be planted at the end of 2022.

Last December, Schenkeveld commissioned the third greenhouse. This means there are now three modern greenhouses, each covering 11 ha, and an industrial space that can process over 300,000 kilos of vine tomatoes.

Family firm
Schenkeveld and KUBO are both family firms that prefer a long-term relationship. Both aim to get the maximum result from the greenhouse with minimum raw materials. The goal is the year-round delivery of safe, completely reliable, and delicious products of constant quality.

Schenkeveld merged with Kwekerij De Kabel at the beginning of 2019. For its growth ambitions, the merged business is focusing on the Schenkeveld Schiphol project in Rijsenhout. The business also has existing cultivation sites in Westland and Midden-Delfland.
