High speed clipping of high-wire snack cucumbers

The Olympics might take place in China this year, but some new world records are also set in Australia at the moment. In a video posted online by Nicky Mann with Family Fresh Farms, it is shown at what speed the job is done in their cucumber greenhouse.

"Blown away by the exceptional skill and talent of our team! They are truly high-performing athletes! This is Deliane Toara clipping high-wire snack cucumbers at Family Fresh Farms, Australia. She is a seasonal worker from Vanuatu and this is her 5th season working at this farm. She has contributed to changing the lives of her loved ones and community by her earnings made in Australia", Nicky writes with the video, adding that they are using the Tom System clipping guns. "We have done so for over 3 years."

The Tom System is a tying method that holds the crop to the twine using a staple. With a metal ring, the plant is tied to the cultivation wire.
