PerfoTec gets new global sales managers

Stefano Hiwat and Koen Kersten joined the Dutch company, PerfoTec as global sales managers on February 1, 2022. Both men are excited about their new challenge, finding it usual to start together. "Stefano and Koen each have their own network and experiences but complement each other well," says Bas Groeneweg, CEO of PerfoTec. "That synergy is exactly why I see possibilities to further strengthen relationships with our international customers and tap into new markets."

Stefano has a large international horticulture network. His experience in Eastern European and Russian-speaking markets means Stefano speaks those languages. He not only speaks Dutch, English, and Spanish but also Russian and Chinese (Mandarin). Stefano is delighted with this new challenge: "It's a massive opportunity to combine PerfoTec solutions that combat food waste, quality loss, and CO2 emissions with the market areas in which I have experience. I can, thus, contribute to PerfoTec's growth ambition," he says.

Koen's experience lies on the other side of the world. His strength is that he enjoys developing new clients and market areas. Koen, too, is looking forward to this challenge. "There are many possibilities within the packaging sector to make a difference like PerfoTec's technology, which is a great prospect. The world is enormous, as are the challenges. I can really sink my teeth into this position," he says.

PerfoTec is known for its fruit and vegetable shelf life-extending technology. Its systems give packaging the "optimal breathing climate",  which helps ensure fruits and vegetables last longer and at a better quality. Bas enthusiastically explains that almost all packaging machines can use these systems: from topseal to flowpack, horizontal and vertical packaging lines.

PerfoTec's passion is to keep fruit and vegetables as fresh as possible during field-to-shopper transport. And there is a myriad of possibilities for this. Koen and Stefano, therefore, joined the company at a good time. There is plenty for them to do right away.
