Growers like to keep their entire irrigation system clean. Benfried offers the Mineral product for this purpose. The product dissolves caked-on deposits in pipes and manure troughs.
The chemical application of fertilizers is a complex matter, explains Peter van der Wel from Benfried: "When adding calcium, sulphates or phosphates, there will always be compounds between these elements, which can cause blockages when they accumulate."
Mineral is a formulation of a special type of polymer that is able to keep these salts in solution for much longer. "It is even capable of dissolving accumulation that has already occurred. By simply dispensing into the slurry tank, growers can keep the whole system clean of fertilizer precipitation."
Peter lists the benefits of the product: The product counteracts deposits of accumulated fertilizer and limescale, excluding precipitations of (liquid) fertilizer during pH fluctuations in the water system and counteracts channel formation in the substrate.
