At the cultivation center of Datong Wutian Ecological Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd., strawberries have been growing vigorously. Cultivated in more than 50 greenhouses, products hit the market in the freshest way possible.
Grown in the alpine plateau area of Qinghai, these strawberries have a red bright color and good sizing. The grower said that this is the third year he has grown strawberries. "The taste is particularly good," they say. "Especially this year, thanks to the introduction of a new variety into our greenhouse. This variety is sweet, large, and of good quality. After we launched that, consumers showed a great appreciation, and the supply was almost entirely gone at one point."
Of the 12-hectare cultivation area, 3 are dedicated to strawberries. "Now, there are large quantities of strawberry in the market," they continue. "When the output reaches its peak, it is estimated that about 1000-1500kg could get into the market every day."
The current strawberry cultivation area in Datong County is of more than 20 hectares, with strawberries now entering the market gradually. As the Spring Festival approaches, strawberries will also become a popular "festive gift", enriching the dining tables of many houses.
